News From Henry

Emma received a letter from Henry and he sent some pictures.

With the beginning of fall already here, Henry is on the lookout for the first signs of cooler weather and falling leaves.  At the time of the post he had not found any signs but he remains hopeful.

Been Gone So Long...

The bears have been soooo patient.  Some housecleaning had to be done and that old horrid job search and well, life has kept us away.  But,  We're Back!!  Now, where were we?  Oh yeah,  Introductions!  The Show Must Go On!  So, Here It Goes......

Introducing Betsy and Kathy.  I believe we can guess what Betsy wants to be when she grows up.  She wears her tutu all of the time under her other clothes.  Kathy is a sweet girl who loves flowers and the color lavender, so this is her favorite outfit.  These two are good friends who like to practice dancing together, Betsy does ballet and Kathy prefers jazzier moves and tap.

These two beautiful ladies are Hollyberry and Miss Emily.  They like to play the motherly role of looking after the other younger bears just like Emma and Lady Jane but are actually the oldest bears in the bunch, so Emma goes to Miss Emily very often for advice.  Miss Emily loves taking care of everyone especially animals.

These two sweet girls are Violet and Lily.  Their outfits reflect their favorite past time- beachcombing.  They have brought a couple of their favorite seashells.  They also like to find sea glass, drift wood, and like to photograph sea birds and sea life.

This sweet pair is Ophelia and Holly.  They both love flowers and nature and love tea parties.  They are always planning the next one in their mind and always attend any given by others.

We are taking a break, be back soon.

Go Go Gadgets Have....

Gone to their own page.  Houston wasn't the only one faced with a problem.  The gadgets made Emma's blog load too slowly and look too messy.  Besides there were more smart people's quotes that the blogwriter wanted to read daily.  Solution: they got their own blog.  If you would like to read them, follow the link to the right that says Daily Quotes by Smart People.  The great pictures that Emma found now have their own blog too.  You will find a link for them as well:  Daily Pictures.  More of Emma's favorite personal photographs will also be appearing regularly in a "Picture of the Week".  She will be picking out the first one shortly.
Thanks for droppin by.

Go Go Gadget!

Or should we say Woah, Woah Gadget? (For those of you who do not write blogs, gadgets are the items that are over on the right side.)   Emma has been anxious to go through the list of gadgets and add some new ones.  Now that her blogwriter's nursing duties have subsided (not entirely though as the patient is milking it), Emma has gotten her wish.  But, as Emma and the blogwriter loved so many of them, they added an overwhelming amount.  They both love photography and to learn and there were just so many they could not decide which ones to pass on so they added them all on a trial basis.  Some have been added because they know that they will appeal to some of the readers of this blog.  So, enjoy, there should be something for everyone and be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom to see the photographs of the day.
Have Fun!

Meet Emma's Out of Town Family of Friends

This is Sweetie and Dearest,

                             Lovely,

                                  Baby,

                           and Henry.

Henry is Emma's penpal and keeps her up to date on all of the adventures in his neck of the woods.

Let the Introductions Continue...

The bears have been so patient. All were very anxious to be introduced but had to wait because their photographer had a sick relative that she had to take care of and had to be out of blog commission for a little while. But now the introductory photos have been taken and now the introductions can continue.......
First, allow us to present....

Flora (L) and Maggie (R),  These lovely ladies are both 7 years old and love to read.  They like to put on plays and act out their favorite stories for the other bears.  Their favorite authors include  AA Milne, Roald Dahl, Beatrix Potter, J.M. Barrie, Lewis Carroll, Jan Brett, Shel Silverstein, Jack Prelutsky, among others.  Emma and Lady Jane help them with the big words but are both very advanced readers for their age.  They plan to attempt Harry Potter with Emma's help.

Next, we have.......

The 4 year old twins, Daisy and Daphne.  They both are very active and love adventure.  They prefer to play outdoors on their swing set and in their playhouse.

Next, we have....

Millie and Annabelle.  They are 5 year olds and also love the outdoors and love to read.  Emma likes to read to the younger bears and these two are her most enthusiastic listeners.

Next up, Allie, Alice, and Maddy.  These three are another active group of friends who are always together planning adventures.  They like to play along the local stream and play Poohsticks on the bridge.

These two lovelies are Olivia and Amelia.  They are both 7 years old and like to sew, do needlepoint, macrame, embroidery, and decoupage.

There are others to be introduced who were off on adventure or who decided on a different outfit than the one they were wearing when photographed, so will be presented later.  Stay tuned..... More to come!

Meet Emma's friends....

Truly (left) and Elizabeth (right).  These two are as different as two friends can be.  Truly is a girly girl who likes fashion, heartwarming movies, and tea parties.  Elizabeth likes the outdoors and is wearing a dress that features her favorite thing in the whole wide world, sailboats.  She dreams of owning her own boat someday.  Below is the  boat shaped basket in which she practices and dreams of her adventures on the sea.

Plus, her friends from the dollar store.

The little mohair bunny in the bottom picture is Rosie from The Vintage Magpie.  She befriended the group and describes them as down-to-earth and unpretentious, which she attributes to their humble beginnings.  They lent her one of their pink satin dresses.  They are as close as a group of 15 can be.  Emma loves their fun-loving outlook on life and frequently can be found at one of their famous picnics.
